This honey is a deep shade of orange amber and when set turns a creamy light brown.

Perfect addition to treats such as flapjacks, breads and teas.

According to the Great judges: They loved its "Mellow flavour that gradually builds to a floral, citrusy hit that lasts a long time on the palate" and that "It is a quality honey with a complex nose, with hints of the eucalyptus".

Antonio's raw organic eucalyptus honey is a really beautiful tasting honey; it has a wonderfully fruity creaminess along with a very mild eucalyptus/menthol aftertaste. Suitable for all ages as it is not overbearing in any way. This is a relatively light-tasting tree honey. It shares characteristics with other herbal honeys, such as thyme or sage.

Colour: This particular honey is a deep shade of orange amber when runny and when set it turns to a creamy tan.

Eucalyptus honey facts: Eucalyptus honey is a variety with a unique composition.  It contains traces of eucalyptol which gives it its fresh revitalizing taste. This essential oil is often used in aromatherapy as a decongestant and antiseptic.

Where does the honey come from: This variety of eucalyptus honey comes from the Eucalyptus forests, that cover the hillsides in De Coimbra - Portugal.

Who produces the honey? The bees of Antonio Simone, a 4thgeneration beekeeper who takes pride in producing honey in a traditional way without adding or taking away anything. Antonio's hives are based in the wildest places. His beekeeping practices and the land he has his hives on have been certified as organic by the Committee of Organic Agriculture in Madrid.

What about the tree that the honey comes from? The eucalyptus tree is an evergreen, also known as Eucalipto in Spanish. It is one of the fastest growing trees in the world.  Eucalyptus originates in Australia but has been introduced to Europe.

How do people use eucalyptus honey? Eucalyptus honey is often used in skin care. It has a fresh clean aroma and its soothing composition helps aid skin recovery from blemishes, acne and spots. It is also extremely versatile in different recipes, such as: a glaze for meats, cakes, flapjacks, breads and teas.

Crystallisation:-  Please know that raw honey does crystallise and is a natural process of raw honey (therefore we cannot except returns on honey that may have crystallised). We indicate on the website the state of each honey - either runny or crystallised but be aware this is to the best of our knowledge and the state can change quickly.   If you want your honey runny and it has crystallised it's very easy to return it to runny go to this link Runny Honey  or see this section under our FAQ's Why Is My Honey Crystallised?

We only supply raw honey because we believe this is how all honey should be.  If you don't want your honey to crystallise then raw honey probably isn't for you.
