Artisan Raw Greek Mountain Oak Honey Tester - 30g
Antibacterial raw mountain oak honey from 900 metres plus
Wilderness honey with all the natural properties

Very thick honey that sits solidly on the tongue, taking a moment to melt away.
Thomas' raw Greek Mountain Oak honey has a deliciously rich and mineral treacle flavour with hints of cooked apples and plums. The aftertaste lingers only briefly with a slight sourness. The aroma is similarly fruity, reminding us of cold spiced fruit sauces. The flavour and aroma make us think this could go very well with a fruitcake or Christmas pudding.
Colour: It's very dark, nearly black, with a slight hint of purple.
About the beekeeper: It was brought to us by Thomas, a young Greek beekeeper, who is planning to take over his father's hives, which are in secluded forest glades. He has great enthusiasm for raw honey and natural hive products.
More on honeydew honey: This is a dark thick runny honey – it is known as a honeydew, because it is from the sap and resin of the tree not from flower nectar. Honeydews are high in oligosaccharides, which are known for their prebiotic qualities- aiding digestion.
Please know that raw honey does crystalise and this is a natural process that occurs mainly due to the natural glucose in raw honey. For more information on why honey sets visit this article and for a more scientific explanation go to wikipedia.

This honey has a consistency of treacle and indeed almost of a superior fudge. The flavour is very satisfying and with a personal bias towards honeydew (since I perceive this to have added health properties) I can say that I shall be looking forward to consuming this product on toast or good bread on a thinly covered base of goats butter, containing a small amount of salt; also the honey will be very nice on a bowl of oatmeal porridge.
True flavour of unpasteurised honey
This product is great in quality and essence .It remi ded me of the invaluable pure honey which I used to have with my grandfather as a kid. Will try other types as well for sure. Only limitation is a bit expensive
Butterscotch like flavour of this beautiful Greek Mountain Oak honey. Many thanks for brilliant service as always.
I didn't realise honey surposed to taste like this......
This is my first tasting of raw honey, it don't look like honey I purchased from chain stores, i wasn't sure of it to begin with. After trying it for a couple of weeks use I'm convinced this is how God intended honey to be eaten in a raw state. It taste so delicious I'll alway eat raw honey from now on it's really great. My thanks to Tim owner of Raw Honey Company.
Such a wonderful tasting honey...nice and thick..not the like the sugar water they sell in the supermarkets! You don't know what honey is until you've tasted this!
