More on the flavour: This is a very light and pleasant herb flower honey, it has a warm and soothing taste of creamy florals. It comes from bees feeding on the lavender bushes in the Mediterranean area, different from the tree sap honey which is often dark in appearance and strong in taste, this honey tends to be mild, lighter and softer in taste.
Where does the honey come from? This variety of lavender honey comes from Catalonia in Spain. The Catalonian Pyrenees are known for their pristine forests, high peaks and heavenly meadows, rushing rivers, winding streams and thundering waterfalls.
Who produces this honey? This lavender honey comes from Rossend. He treats honey like and art form and you can really tell, it has such a perfect consistency and the varieties range from very subtle to very overt. He has won many awards for his honey including from the well renowned iTQi (International Taste and Quality Institute) who rated several of his honey varieties in the superior taste award category.
What about the plant the honey comes from? The lavender plant is a herbaceous perennial shrub also known as espliego in Spanish. It tends to be short lived and has a wide amount of varieties in its genus. It is widely used as an essential oil in aromatherapy and is known to help relax and assist in better sleep and stress management.
Common Uses: Lavender honey is particularly good to use as a skin care treatment to heal burns, cuts, abrasions and infections. It is also very versatile in different recipes, such as: a glaze for meats, with salads, cakes, flapjacks, breads pastas and teas.

Shipping to UK addresses
For deliveries to the UK, we use 24 hour and 48 hour tracked signed services for most orders.Most shipments will require a signature on delivery.
Orders placed on a working day (weekdays, excluding bank holidays) before 1pm will normally be packed and handed to the shipping company same day. Orders placed after 1pm on a working day or during non-working days will normally be packed and handed to the shipping company the following working day.
Shipping to non-UK addresses
For deliveries outside the UK, we use carrier services (the exact service will depend on your country). Delivery times will vary depending on the destination country. Most shipments require a signature on delivery.
Due to additional paperwork needed for international shipping, orders with non-UK addresses will take slightly longer to process. Orders placed on a working day (weekdays, excluding bank holidays) before 1pm will normally be packed and handed to the shipping company within two working days. Orders placed after 1pm will normally be packed and handed to the shipping company within three working days.
