Ramon's Raw Rosemary Honey is such a delicate and mild variety, it has a gentle floral taste with a distant hint of rosemary, suitable for all of the family due to it's pleasant and light flavour.

More on the flavour: This is a very mild and pleasant herb flower honey, it has a very soft taste of rosemary flowers and a light, uplifting creaminess. It comes from bees feeding on the small flowers on the Mediterranean rosemary plant. Different from the tree honey which comes from sap, this honey tends to be very mild and subtle and sets quicker than others.

Where does the honey come from?: This variety of rosemary honey comes from Aragon in Spain, a largely untouched, wild and diverse landscape close to the French border at the north and borders with Valencia to the south.

What about the plant the honey comes from?: The rosemary herb is an evergreen plant growing up to 2 metres in height. It is also known as romero in Spanish, it means dew of the sea when translated from the Latin, as it would often be found by the sea boasting beautiful blue flowers.

Who produces this honey?: This rosemary variety comes from Uncle Ramon, a friendly hip beekeeper with a passion for traditional methods of honey production. Ramon produces a wide variety of different honey, all completely raw with nothing added or taken away.

Rosemary honey common uses: Rosemary honey is particularly good to use on damaged skin, it can help soothe eczema and rashes and may help in reducing acne and blemishes. It is also very versatile in different recipes, such as: a glaze for meats, with salads, vegetables, cakes, flapjacks, breads and teas.

Rosemary Honey Facts: Rosemary honey tends to be a very light variety in its taste and appearance. It has been much sought after throughout history, from the French monks to the Romans who collected it and held it in high regard.

This definitely isn’t my favourite honey as I prefer sweeter honeys with more of a flavour but this is pleasant and subtle. I love buying honey from the raw honey shop as I know the quality is very high.
