Tio Ramon (Uncle Ramon)
Raw Rosemary Honey - 500g
Ramon's Raw Rosemary Honey is such a delicate and mild variety, it has a gentle floral taste with a distant hint of rosemary, suitable for all of the family due to it's pleasant and light flavour.
More on the flavour: This is a very mild and pleasant herb flower honey, it has a very soft taste of rosemary flowers and a light, uplifting creaminess. It comes from bees feeding on the small flowers on the Mediterranean rosemary plant. Different from the tree honey which comes from sap, this honey tends to be very mild and subtle and sets quicker than others.
Where does the honey come from?: This variety of rosemary honey comes from Aragon in Spain, a largely untouched, wild and diverse landscape close to the French border at the north and borders with Valencia to the south.
What about the plant the honey comes from?: The rosemary herb is an evergreen plant growing up to 2 metres in height. It is also known as romero in Spanish, it means dew of the sea when translated from the Latin, as it would often be found by the sea boasting beautiful blue flowers.
Who produces this honey?: This rosemary variety comes from Uncle Ramon, a friendly hip beekeeper with a passion for traditional methods of honey production. Ramon produces a wide variety of different honey, all completely raw with nothing added or taken away.
Rosemary honey common uses: Rosemary honey is particularly good to use on damaged skin, it can help soothe eczema and rashes and may help in reducing acne and blemishes. It is also very versatile in different recipes, such as: a glaze for meats, with salads, vegetables, cakes, flapjacks, breads and teas.
Rosemary Honey Facts: Rosemary honey tends to be a very light variety in its taste and appearance. It has been much sought after throughout history, from the French monks to the Romans who collected it and held it in high regard.
What our Customers Say:
I was born by the Mediterranean sea and we had big rosemary trees in the garden. We use rosemary to cook too.Rosemary-bees and honey is part of me. My first order was eclectic because I wanted to try what was on offer. My second order included 3 rosemary honey jars because I just loved it. I believe in food synergy and use honey for breakfast on organic honey with 2 tablespoons of chia seeds. The honey was luscious, thick and addictive. It is now part of my morning.
First time I've used this method for buying honey. It seemed expensive, but the honey tastes great. I use it in fresh fruit smoothies. Only tried the Rosemary so far but tastes delicious.
Raw honey is where it is at - honey that has health and life giving properties that only Nature knows how to put in - and only humanity has the skill to destroy so thoughtlessly by pasteurising and processing. I have tried many different raw honeys from Tim’s shop and they are all exceptional in their own way. Keep up the good work Tim!
This is my second purchase of 1 kg honey and once again it has excelled in quality. It definitely tastes very different from the supermarket bought honey. I would encourage everyone to buy at least one jar from here and try it out for themselves.
So fragrant! Love this honey.
honey is delicious, sent well packaged
A subtle mils taste. Would have liked it to be more granulated
