A deeply hydrating and illuminating eye cream to help improve the appearance of dark circles, fine lines, and puffiness for a well-rested look.

WHAT DOES THIS DO?

This organic eye cream provides hydration and nourishment to the delicate under-eye area, helping to improve the appearance of dark circles, fine lines, and puffiness. Bakuchiol, a plant-based alternative to retinol, works alongside niacinamide and cucumber extract to refine and revitalise tired-looking eyes—without irritation. Hyaluronic acid and honey help maintain moisture levels, keeping the skin feeling soft and refreshed.

HOW TO USE

Apply a small amount onto your fingertip and gently dab around the eye contour, focusing on the under-eye area and outer corners. Avoid direct contact with the eyes. For best results, apply morning and night before your moisturiser.

HONEY BENEFITS FOR SKIN

Honey is a natural ingredient that is often used in skincare because it has several beneficial properties for the skin. Some of the top honey benefits for the skin are:

  1. Humectant: Honey is a natural humectant, a substance that has the ability to attract and retain moisture. This helps to keep the skin hydrated and prevents dryness.
  2. Antimicrobial: Honey has natural antimicrobial properties that can help to kill bacteria and other microorganisms on the skin. This can help to prevent and treat infections, acne, and other skin conditions.
  3. Anti-inflammatory: Honey has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which can help to reduce swelling, redness, and irritation on the skin. Using honey can be beneficial for individuals with sensitive skin or skin conditions such as eczema, as it has soothing and calming properties.

There is a growing body of scientific evidence to support the benefits of honey for skincare. In a study published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences, researchers found that honey has potent antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that can be useful for the treatment of skin conditions such as acne and eczema. In another study published in the journal Frontiers in Microbiology, researchers found that honey has the ability to kill a wide range of bacteria, including antibiotic-resistant strains, making it a potentially valuable natural treatment for infections and other skin conditions.

How Bee Cosmetics use honey in their skincare

At Bee Cosmetics honey is a key ingredient in their skincare range and they pride themselves on using only the finest, sustainably sourced honey in their skincare products. They carefully tend to a small number of hives across Sussex, ensuring that the honey they collect is of the highest quality.

ABOUT BEE COSMETICS

We’re delighted to introduce Bee Cosmetics - a small, family-run skincare maker rooted in traditional beekeeping and natural ingredients. Their range is handcrafted in Sussex using beeswax, honey and propolis from their own hives and local beekeepers, combined with carefully chosen botanical oils and butters.

Founded by a family of passionate beekeepers, the brand began after a chance encounter with a swarm of bees which sparked a long-term fascination that grew into both beekeeping and skincare formulation. Today, their products are still made in small batches, with the bees at the heart of everything they do.

We chose to stock Bee Cosmetics because their ethos closely aligns with ours: simple, effective formulations, traceable natural ingredients, and a deep respect for bees and sustainable harvesting. Their use of traditional hive ingredients - beeswax to protect, honey to hydrate, and propolis to soothe - creates gentle, practical skincare rooted in nature.

Like us, they prioritise sustainability, small-scale production and transparency, with most packaging plastic-free and products handmade in their countryside “Bee Barn” surrounded by rewilded landscape.

We love supporting fellow bee-focused producers, and this thoughtfully made range felt like a natural fit for The Raw Honey Shop.
