Antonio’s Raw Organic Eucalyptus Honey

A deep orange‑amber, coarse‑filtered, cold‑pressed raw honey from De Coimbra, Portugal. Mellow and fruity, it finishes with a memorable floral‑citrus and subtle eucalyptus menthol note—a truly complex, slow‑releasing treat.

According to the Great judges: They loved its "Mellow flavour that gradually builds to a floral, citrusy hit that lasts a long time on the palate" and that "It is a quality honey with a complex nose, with hints of the eucalyptus".

Aroma

Fresh and clean with subtle herbal cedar‑eucalyptus hints—capturing the essence of sun-warmed eucalyptus blossoms.

Fruity and creamy on the palate, this tree honey unfolds into citrusy, floral notes with a lingering menthol‑eucalyptus finish. Comparable to mild herbal honeys like thyme or sage—light yet layered.

Colour

In its runny form: deep orange‑amber. As it crystallises: smooth and creamy light tan.

Origin

Harvested from wild eucalyptus forests around De Coimbra in central Portugal. The evergreen eucalyptus trees provide rich, menthol‑tinged nectar. Antonio’s bees collect this in sustainable, organic-certified hives.

Producer Story

Antonio is a pioneer of organic beekeeping in Spain and Portugal. With hives in the Sierra de Guadarrama and Portugal, he works alongside his son Dani and son‑in‑law Ruben. Together, they craft certified organic raw honeys—including chestnut, oak, lavender and eucalyptus—and share their expertise through teaching. His dedication to ethical, additive‑free practices has made him a respected voice in global beekeeping.

Common Uses

  • Culinary: Fantastic as a glaze for meats, or sweetener for flapjacks, breads, cakes and teas.
  • Skincare: Traditionally used for its soothing, antibacterial properties—ideal for blemishes, acne or dry spots.

🧊 How to store your honey

To preserve its natural potency, store in a cool, dark place—away from light and heat, which can degrade beneficial enzymes and affect flavour, texture and active qualities.

🍯 Why Raw Honey is Different from Processed Honey

Raw honey comes straight from hive to jar with minimal interference—no heating, no blending, and no over-filtering. Each batch is unique, reflecting seasonal and environmental variations. Unlike processed supermarket honey, raw honey retains pollen, enzymes and its natural depth.

🌀 Crystallisation

Raw honey naturally crystallises (we cannot accept returns for this). We label each jar as “runny” or “crystallised,” but states may shift. For tips on returning crystallised honey to runny, check our Runny Honey Guide or see more on crystallisation.
