The Ultimate Set to ease the misery of Winter Coughs and Sore Throats

This set includes two powerful winter staples: a 1kg jar of raw bioactive forest honey with an antibacterial rating of 25, and a 250ml natural cough syrup made with honey, organic propolis, elderberry, and plant extracts. The honey is thick and slow-pouring, which helps it coat and soothe sore throats. The syrup is designed to be swallowed slowly so it lingers and calms the throat.

Product Highlights

  • Bioactive rating of 25 – high natural antibacterial strength
  • 100% raw, cold-pressed and unpasteurised
  • Certified organic, coarse-filtered, slow to crystallise
  • Forest honey from oak, chestnut and fir
  • Cough Syrup with organic propolis tincture and organic plant extracts
  • Swallow syrup slowly to let it coat the throat
  • No artificial ingredients, just raw honey and plants

Honey Aroma

Rich, earthy woodland notes with hints of caramel, roasted nuts, and subtle herbal tones, carrying the freshness of wild mountain herbs.

Honey Flavour

Bold, treacly, and layered with depth. Oak and chestnut bring dark, malty undertones, balanced by delicate floral hints from wild oregano, chamomile, and other mountain herbs. Smooth, powerful, and versatile.

Honey Colour

A deep, dark brown with amber glints. Thick in texture, it remains smooth and pourable thanks to its naturally low glucose content, which delays crystallisation.

Honey Origin

Harvested from the unspoiled forests of Mount Kissavos in central Greece, part of the Natura 2000 network of protected areas. This biodiverse landscape provides Kostas’ bees with a rich diet from oak, chestnut, and fir trees, producing honey of remarkable purity and potency.

The Beekeeper: Kostas

Kostas is a master beekeeper and a respected figure in Greece’s beekeeping community. As a former head of the Greek Beekeepers Association, he has dedicated decades to advancing sustainable apiculture. His family shares his passion—his daughter is pursuing a PhD in social insects, continuing their beekeeping legacy. Each jar reflects his commitment to quality, sustainability, and respect for the bees.

2, All Natural Honey and Propolis Throat Syrup (250ml)

This combines a variety of organic ingredients to make this a highly antibacterial and delicious alternative to supermarket throat syrups. With honey as its primary ingredient, this syrup would already be antibacterial, but it is made much stronger thanks to the inclusion of propolis, elderberry juice, plant extracts, and essential oils.

The flavour is potent but smooth, unlike many harsher-tasting syrups. You can certainly taste and smell the propolis and essential oils

The texture is thinner than some other syrups, so we find it best to swallow it slowly to ensure it fully coats the throat. We've used it here in the office when we've struggled with sore throats, colds, catarrh, and congestion. Plus, we love that it's all-natural and uses lots of organic ingredients!

About Propolis:

Propolis (bee glue) is a resinous mixture that honey bees produce by mixing their own enzymes and beeswax with sap and resin gathered from tree buds, sap flows, or other sources.  Propolis is believed to be antibacterial, prevent diseases and parasites from entering the hive and to inhibit fungal growth.

The composition of propolis varies from hive to hive and season to season. Normally, it is dark brown in colour. "Typical" northern temperate propolis has approximately 150 constituents, primarily resins and vegetable balsams (50%), waxes (30%), essential oils (10%), and pollen (5%).  Propolis also contains persistent lipophilic acaricides, a natural pesticide that deters mite infestations.  Other flavonoids commonly present include galangin and pinocembrin. This particular propolis is sourced from Albert and his mother Marie Teresa.

Propolis is being researched for the potential development of new drugs focusing on a variety of its properties, including those for possible immunomodulatory, anti-diabetic and anti-ulcer applications.

Use: Shake well before every use. Adults: 1 tablespoon (10ml) up to three times per day; Children (over 6): 1 teaspoon (5ml) up to three times per day. Swallow slowly.

Storage: Before use, keep in a cool, dry place, not in direct sunlight. Once open, use within three months.

Ingredients: honey*, agave syrup*, water, elderberry juice*, propolis tincture* (2%), sage and greater plantain extract*, lemon juice concentrate*, thyme extract*, rosemary essential oil*, xantham gum

What does "Active" mean?

This honey has undergone a Total Activity test to measure its antimicrobial power against bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus. With a rating of 25, it ranks among the most potent natural honeys available. This activity comes mainly from a bee enzyme that produces hydrogen peroxide. Note: the activity level is highest at testing and gradually decreases, especially if exposed to heat or light. Store in a cool, dark place to preserve it.

🧊 How to store your honey

Store in a cool, dark place to maintain enzyme potency and texture. Avoid light and heat to preserve its rich character.

🍯 Why Raw Honey is Different from Processed Honey

Raw honey is untouched from hive to jar—no heating, no blending, no heavy filtering. It retains pollen, enzymes, antioxidants, and colour; every jar reflects its unique ecosystem and season.

🌀 Crystallisation

Crystallisation is natural—not a flaw, thus not eligible for return. We do state “runny” or “crystallised,” but conditions may change. See our Runny Honey Guide or FAQs for decrystallisation tips.

Because propolis tincture is used in this product, there is a very small amount of alcohol. Please be aware of this in case you are avoiding the consumption of alcohol.
